The Bridge to Paradise
The Bridge to Paradise has many meanings and forms.
The search for this can lead us to many amazing journeys.
My Chickens had an old Bridge, a couple of 6×2 planks across the gully. When the new Bridge was put in place, they had to step out to cross the threshold of a new path – for them.
They would wait at the place where the old Bridge once was – it took them the time they needed to process, that they had a new path across the gully.
They struggled to take their first step, and every step was their first step on this new path.
We all have different goals to reach for on this journey across our Bridges.
Some of us take many steps Backward for very few steps Forward; for a while, this can be very disheartening.
But I say “Love those Backward steps, as they have so much to teach us, so much more than all those steps Forward that we yearn for”
Those Backward steps allow us the opportunity to search for what we may be missing in our communication with our horses, remembering “The Quality of your Communication is shown, by the Response you get.”
“Don’t be like my Chickens, who now rush the Bridge. They often fly, always in a hurry, and miss the Beauty of the path taken.”
